Core Beliefs
TO UNDERSTAND OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH, THESE THREE PIECES ARE VITAL:
1. We will focus our teaching on the non-debatable principles of the Bible while leaving freedom for personal convictions related to other issues.
2. Our highest desire is to live faithfully to Biblical principles while remaining culturally relevant to our community.
3. We believe that becoming a fully devoted Christ follower requires active participation in the church.

God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Jesus
Jesus is the eternal and second person of the Trinity. Though fully divine, He became fully human. He was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He was crucified for crimes He didn’t commit, and through His resurrection, freed all people from the power of sin and death. He will return again, ushering in the eternal Kingdom of God. All who respond to the work and teachings of Jesus by a personal belief that results in personal obedience to Jesus and His teachings will live forever with Him.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the eternal and third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit continually draws men and women closer to God. Being marked by the Holy Spirit as children of God, believers are encouraged, transformed to be like Christ, convicted of sin and empowered to serve others.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
Unity
Unity is essential to the body of believers, the Church. Though there are many expressions of the Church in our world, there is only one universal Church, made up of all who have received Jesus Christ as Lord. The Church exists to be the body of Christ in the world today.
The Bible
The Bible is the expressed Word of God and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
