Holy Week

March 24-31

Palm Sunday - March 24

We will celebrate the crowning of King Jesus by the people, who chanted, “Blessed is he [Jesus] who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!” However, this was the calm before the storm that would come crashing down just four days later. The question is: Do you believe that Jesus is who he says he is? The answer to that question will determine how well you live.

Maundy Thursday - March 28, 6:30 pm

Come join us at the Lord’s Table as we celebrate communion together. This time “around the table” will give us an opportunity to consider the implications of Jesus’ broken body and his blood which was spilled for us.

Following this time of singing and teaching as to how Jesus has passed his mantle of leadership to us, we will move to rooms set up for men and another for women to follow Jesus’ command to wash one another’s feet. Even if you don’t want to participate, we invite you to come and experience the unique beauty of this service together.

Good Friday - Mar. 29 at Noon

We will gather in our Sanctuary for a brief time of worship where we come to understand why such a tragic day could be called good. Jesus could have trusted that he hit on good points with his teaching, but instead he chose use his life to make a difference!

Sunrise Service 7 am

This is the day to celebrate Jesus’ greatest miracle – raising himself from the dead. He did it to show that he had indeed overcome death, something no one did before or has done since!
We will begin by worshipping together for a Sunrise service at the
First Church of God (291 Falconer St, Jamestown) at 7 am.

9 am Service

At 9 & 11 am, we will celebrate Jesus’ resurrection at BCOG with great music and focusing on the difference a day can make. Only God could erase hopelessness and inspire a life of hope that never ends. And all this happened for Jesus’ followers as they went to bed on Saturday night wondering how they would survive, only to wake up and discover that death would not have the final say.

11 am Service

That hope is available to us as well. No matter what your life has been to this point, Jesus invites us to wake up to a morning filled with hope! Bring your family and friends for a morning that could change their lives forever!
